MONDAY!!!!!
I thought that this morning would go smoothly because all of my school kids woke up early so we had plenty of time to get ready. WRONG!!! The getting ready part did go pretty well and then it came to the saying goodbye part. Emma is always the first one to go because her bus comes first. I always see her go out the front door. She would not leave, she would not even look at the street. She said that she did not want to go to school and she would not go! I told her that she had to and that was that. She stood there crying and refusing to go and I did not know what to do? I let her back inside and told her that I would take her just today. Mandy was the next one to leave and she left in quite a good mood. (thank goodness!) Then Anna got her backpack on and came and found me and said, "looks like only one of your girls love school and that is me!" I could not believe those words coming out of her mouth but I know that they are true because she never complains about going and wants to go as soon as possible every day! Well back to Emma. I did drive her but she would not get out of the van when we got to Franklin so I took her out and we went to the front office and got a tardy slip. Then she would not walk so I went and took the boys out of the car and told her that I would walk with her. She cried all the way there and said that she did not want her class to see her like this and I told her too bad! We got to her class room and she would not quit crying so I thought I would stick my head in and ask the teacher to come outside for a minute. I stuck my head in and the class was gone! That was a miracle. Emma went right in and hugged her teacher and she hugged her back and then she felt much better. I hope she has a good day. I am such a mean mom!

Did you figure out why she didn't want to go? Did she not want her class to see her crying? I wonder if she had to miss a recess or something fun--speaking from experience. There was one day that Megan refused to go to school and tried to tell me she was sick and it wasn't until 2 days later that I found out she had to miss Friday Funday. Good thing Anna and Mandy had a good day. Could be worse--all the kids could have been grumpy. That's tough though.

Gosh Jenn, You are the all time nicest mean mom I know! Sometimes, our chicks just need a little push out of the nest and then they remember they can fly! And, sometimes, we cry and feel better with a hand to hold. I think you did a great job! :)
