details, details, details...

Eric's new job. He is going to be the night foreman at a very high tech machine shop. He was a machinist before he got into vending so it has been a few years. The last few weeks he has sent out his resume over the internet to numerous companies with no word back. Somehow he got an address for this company and he went and personally handed them a resume. The called him a few days later asking for an interview. After the first interview they wanted another one, this was on Thursday. They told him that he would probably have to quit UPS and that made us sick. They said that they have a benefit package and so he would not need UPS. Well UPS has the best health benefits of any company anywhere so we are very spoiled. I told him that we cannot give up UPS because Joseph is in the middle of his care and I do not want to change Doctors. Anyways he talked to them and they understood and said that he can try to work both jobs and see how he does. They called him first thing Friday morning and said they want to hire him!!!! He will be working 3:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. at the machine shop and then 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at UPS. That is about 72 hours a week! He will be a very busy man, we will never see him except on the weekends. We are going to miss him and it will make my work schedule alot harder but we are grateful for this job and we will do whatever we need to do to make it work. It is a really good thing that we are not moving because there is no way that he would have time to move us and fix up two houses and learn a new job! We are thankful that the Lord watches over us so closely and that He knows what we need.

So happy things are working out. It sounds like a great job. & so happy he can keep the UPS job, too. There's nothing like those benefits! Long, tough hours, but I know he can do it! When does he start?

He starts on Tuesday. He will be in training for 2 months and will have to work 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight and then sleep until 3:30 a.m. go to work until 7:00 come home sleep until 11:30 and then start all over again! Right as summer vacation is starting so the kids will be home to make lots of noise while he tries to sleep.

Congrats! Hopefully he can get a good sleep. If anyone can do those kind of hours...he can. He's a hard worker!

Yeah, you've got to keep those doctors :) Not, that he's very involoved with all that, though.
