How would I manage without my daughter? I wouldn't....
I just need to brag for a few minutes about my oldest daughter Erika. She will be 15 this month and she is more responsible than most adults. She has been there for me every minute since our new baby has been born. She would call me in the hospital and see how I was doing and then report in at the end of the day. She ran my house while I was gone. She and Eric worked hard to keep up with the four little ones at home. Every night since I have been home she has stayed up with me and we would visit and watch tv together and she would hold Joseph so I could get some much needed sleep. This last weekend I was really in a lot of pain and we had to wake her up at 1:30 a.m. to take care of Joseph and she gladly got out of bed and took over and kept him happy until I could hold him again. The next day I had another attack and she and Eric were gone and I did not want to bother them until I could not handle it any more, so I called a friend of mine to come over and hold my baby. By the time I called Eric I was in alot of pain and he hurried home, but before he got here we had a dear friend show up because Erika had called her and asked her to come over and check on me. The rest of the day Erika would ask what I needed and if she saw me getting up she would tell me to sit back down and she would do whatever I needed to do. I don't quite know why I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter and friend but I am very grateful and I want her to know that I love her and appreciate her more than words can express.
Also during the break we received her report card and she achieved straight A's in all of her classes even in the advanced classes she also did over 300 hours of service towards her service scholarship and served in NJHS and Stars. She reads her scriptures every night no matter how late it is. I am so glad that she is part of our family.
Thank you Erika, we LOVE you!
