I found two quotes that were written just for me for this time in my life. I wanted to share them with all of you....
"The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself."
"Patience - the ability to put our desires on hold for a time. Patience is a rare virtue. We want what we want and we want it now. Therefore, the very idea of patience may seem unpleasant and at times bitter. Nevertheless, without patience we cannot please God, we cannot become perfect. Indeed, patience is a purifying process that refines understanding, deepens happiness, focuses action, and offers hope for peace."
Dieter F. Uchtdorf (April 2010)

I love these! I just read this talk by Pres. Uchtdorf the other day and felt like he was talking to me personally. Another quote I love is, "Faith in God includes faith in his timing." (Neal A. Maxwell) I do have to say though as much as I love these quotes they are so hard to put into action sometimes.
Love Deiter!! I also love Marilyn's quote by Elder Maxwell. Needed to be reminded today- thanks!
Aw, come-on! You are the definition of patience if you ask me! See you in the a.m. :)
Jennifer, I love these two quotes. Several years ago I heard Sheri Dew speak and she said we need to give up on being perfect, but to focus on becoming more pure. I like this! I hope you are doing well. Love, Lauri
