"Good idea," said Dad, "I'll say it. Kids, fold your arms."
"Fold 'em!" yelled Jake, "Ki-et!"
After the prayer was said, we pulled out of the driveway. Drove past Field, Poston, Sunrise Preschool, and into the "wild blue yonder." Barbie was on, the boys were buckled, the girls were settled, Mom was the navigator-ator, and Dad was the driver (as usual).
We drove for about an hour and found ourselves surrounded by forest, snow, more forest, and more snow. Oh ya, and there was snow too. ;) Emma and Anna cried, "please let us play in the snow! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!"
"Maybe later," replied Dad, "we got to keep going."
We drove about another hour and the dreaded questions began, "Are we there yet?" "How much longer?"
"Twenty minutes"
And the peasants...rejoiced! (name the TV show)
Twenty minutes later, we pulled into a icy, cold parking lot next to a dumpy, old trailer called the 'Burro'--we were at Wendy's.

"Yep, we're taking the scenic tour. If we just went straight to Havasu, it would only take about 3 hours and there wouldn't be any snow to look at."
"Hmm." Got me there. Scenic tour it was. :) Four hours to go.
To be continued..........
